Mill Creek Community School Corporation Adopts Policy to Accept Transfer Students
Students who do not reside in the Mill Creek Community School Corporation and wish to enroll in the school system as transfer students must submit a completed application for admission and a records release form to the Superintendent's office. Applications will be accepted from April 1, 2012 to June 1, 2012 for the 2012-13 school year. The application is for an individual student. If a family wishes to enroll more than one child, an application must be completed for each child.
Enrollment in Mill Creek Community Corporation will be based on the criteria listed below.
- Availability of space
- Availability of programs
- Impact on teaching personnel
- Corporation funding levels
- Academics (as evidenced by ISTEP/ECA, GPA, Graduation Plan, Class Rank and Retention, for example)
- Student's attendance patterns
- Student's behavior records
Transfer tuition students are enrolled on a year to year basis and must reapply each year in which enrollment is sought. Students must be in good standing on order to be reconsidered. The Superintendent's decision shall be final in regards to granting or denying applications and the school to which a student is assigned. Students who fall below acceptable behavioral, academic or attendance standards may have their application approval reversed.
